The truth is, nonviolent action is the antidote for despair and the more that you do to help save our democracy, the better you will feel. The Visibility Brigade movement was born in 2020 on an overpass in Paramus, NJ out of a frustration due to the lack of physical messaging in the real world about the existential crisis that we face as a nation. There are now multiple brigades across the country with new ones forming every day!
Swing Left North Shore/Cape Ann has partnered with North Shore Indivisible in a weekly event on the Grapevine Rd overpass on Rt. 128 in Wenham 4:15-5:30pm on Sundays. The organizing committee picks the message and prepares the signs; the organizing committee along with volunteers then arrive at 4:15pm to set up, with the message in place by 4:30PM. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring flags to wave while we stand out with our message!!
There is only so much room on the overpass and parking available nearby, so we are limiting signups to 15/week. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
Best place to park is on Parsons Hill Rd (carpooling is encouraged!).
If you are interested to be part of a team organizing a second day (weekday) on the Grapevine Rd overpass - or want to pick another overpass, email swingleftnsca@gmail.com - subject line VISIBILITY and we will connect you with the organizing team.
