In 2025, Swing Left North Shore/Cape Ann (SLNSCA) expanded our activities by promoting and engaging in key actions across our region in order to protest the illegal and immoral behaviors of the Trump Administration. We will continue to speak out and participate in peaceful pursuits from protests and rallies, to boycotts and projects that protect our democracy.

Each week, our fellow citizens gather together from across the North Shore of Massachusetts in protest of the Trump Administration's policies. From the defunding of critical services such as Medicaid and the Affordable Care Tax Credits, to illegally deporting thousands of people without due process through the weaponization of ICE, to the unjustifiable pardons issued to drug kingpins and January 6th felons, this administration has enraged people across the Commonwealth. And despite the administration's clear disdain for the Constitution, hundreds of Bay Staters gather together to exercise their first amendment right to freedom of speech to share their opposition to Donald Trump's authoritarianism.
The truth is, nonviolent action is the antidote for despair and the more that you do to help save our democracy, the better you will feel. The Visibility Brigade movement was born in 2020 on an overpass in Paramus, NJ out of a frustration due to the lack of physical messaging in the real world about the existential crisis that we face as a nation. There are now multiple brigades across the country with new ones forming every day!
SLNSCA, in partnership with the Northshore Visibility Brigade, participates at two sites on Rt. 128:
The Manchester-School St. overpass
The Wenham-Grapevine overpass.
