The parent organization of our Swing Left North Shore/Cape Ann Chapter, Swing Left is the brainchild of Ethan Todras-Whitehill, a Democrat from Massachusetts who was both shocked and devasted after the 2016 Trump victory. Realizing the disastrous impact of a Trump Presidency, he gathered some friends, and they got to work, focusing their attention on flipping the House blue. They decided to dedicate their efforts in targeting Republican congressional seats in swing districts held by small margins.
Today, Swing Left engages hundreds of thousands of volunteers, organized through local chapters such as ours to take action through activities such as writing letters/postcards, raising funds, and phone banking in strategic states and districts.

The fund focuses on the congressional districts where your $$ can have the biggest impact.
Swing Left has done the research and has:
identified the 14 must-hold districts where the Democratic incumbents' seats are considered most vulnerable 2026.
found the 19 Republican seats with the highest potential to be flipped to the Democrats in 2026.
The targeted campaigns are reviewed monthly and may be adjusted as race dynamics and campaign need changes.
Customizable simplicity - the money goes directly to the campaigns, and you have control of where your money goes.

When you make a donation to the fund, it is automatically dispersed equally among the key strategic races.
Your contribution will go directly to the Democratic nominee in each race: either a Democratic incumbent’s re-election campaign, or a nominee fund for Republican-held seats with contested primaries. After the primary election, money raised into nominee funds will be released to the official Democratic nominees, giving them a timely infusion of funding when they need it most: the start of their general election campaigns against Republican incumbents. A portion of your contribution will also go to Swing Left to support our efforts to win back the House and organize in competitive districts all year long.
