We are all horrified by the actions of ICE - literally kidnapping people off of our streets.
This week it has hit home. Bianca Martinez, a cherished ECCO (Essex County Community Organization) leader, has been summoned to the ICE Detention Facility in Burlington where she does not know what she may face - arrest, detention, deportation, other. Her colleagues, friends and neighbors (and ours) are holding a vigil starting at 7am at the facility. Can you join? Sign up HERE - please let us know if you can drive others or want a ride (answer the question on the sign up form) and we will make every effort in this short time to connect people for rides.

The truth is, nonviolent action is the antidote for despair and the more that you do to help save our democracy, the better you will feel. The Visibility Brigade movement was born in 2020 on an overpass in Paramus, NJ out of a frustration due to the lack of physical messaging in the real world about the existential crisis that we face as a nation. There are now multiple brigades across the country with new ones forming every day!
